An exciting opportunity exists for a senior data analyst to be part of the Victorian Centre for Data Insights – a dynamic new team at the Department of Premier and Cabinet (DPC).

The Victorian Centre for Data Insights will help transform the way the Victorian Government uses data to inform policy making and service design.

You will be passionate about working for the people of Victoria by helping the government achieve its strategic objectives.

You will have demonstrated experience in developing analytical products such as reports, dashboards or visualisations for a wide range of stakeholders, using tools such as SQL, R, Excel, Python, Scala, Power BI, Tableau, Qlik or ESRI.

You will have strong project management and service delivery skills.

Ideally, you will have a tertiary qualification in statistics, data analysis, data science, mathematics, epidemiology, actuarial sciences or equivalent demonstrated experience.

You will use your skills to perform a range of duties, including but not limited to:

• design, develop and build solutions for analytics projects
• identify, gather and use statistical information from a variety of sources to develop systems and data solutions
• develop and maintain effective relationships and networks across government agencies and external stakeholders, including with data custodians.
