The Position
CSIRO’s Oceans & Atmosphere is seeking to appoint a physical oceanographer/physicist/engineer with skills in coastal ocean modelling, the analysis of related data products and the development of strategies to address problems for engineers and coastal managers in the context of a changing climate. In this position you will apply novel techniques and analysis skills to communicate scientific results practically to maximise information relevance and uptake.
The position requires a strong numerical background, ability to manipulate and analyse large datasets, and strong communication skills to address coastal ocean challenges. You will be a key member of a team of scientists focussed on ocean processes which most strongly affect coastal stability, from operational to climate time-scales.
