APRA is seeking a life insurance practitioner to join its Insurance Strategic Intelligence team within the Data Analytics branch of the Risk and Data Analytics Division. Insurance Strategic Intelligence supports APRA’s core functions through the provision of forward-looking analytics and other business intelligence, driving risk-based supervisory judgements and strategic decisions.As part of the team you will gain a unique perspective of the life insurance industry as you apply your skill and experience to provide high-quality industry insights to APRA’s senior executive, life insurance supervisors, and other Government bodies. You will collaborate with a wide range of APRA staff and with industry stakeholders, and have an opportunity to be involved in significant projects that will impact the life industry.
This exciting role would suit an existing industry professional with life insurance experience, willing to take on a new challenge and contribute to a dynamic team environment.
You will have experience in the life insurance sector. You will have a sound understanding of life insurers and excellent analytical skills. Tertiary qualifications are essential and being a qualified or part-qualified actuary would be an advantage. Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills are indispensable, along with excellent organisational, self and priority management skills.
