You will strategically lead the Industry Statistics Division through a significant period of transformational change. This role requires someone who will deliver high quality, timely economic statistics that inform discussion and decision making in government, community and private industry.

You will also play a key role in partnership with the Deputy and other general managers in prioritising the statistical program, in transforming economic statistics while delivering the agreed work program on time, on budget and to the specified level of quality, while building people capability and fostering the next generation of ABS leaders.

Economic or statistical skills, and/or private sector or senior level public sector policy or program experience would be beneficial.

Senior Executive roles are generally located in the ABS Canberra Office, however our office locations and flexible work arrangements (including part-time) offer a range of prospects for candidates based outside Canberra noting that travel to Canberra would be required on a regular basis. Consideration will be given to candidates wishing to move on a temporary basis.
