The Role
The Customer Analytics function plays a pivotal role in providing valuable and timely insights into customer behaviours and preferences that inform tactical decision making and long term strategic direction for Energy Markets.

The Senior Modelling Analyst is a results driven professional who is focused on short term outcomes while planning for the future. The position will require a deep understanding of data and analytics and the ability to build and deploy predictive models .

Reporting to the Advanced Analytics Manager, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Building capabilities to enable analytical models to be operationalized into the front office and other customer engagement channels
  • Developing and maintaining effective, Customer Lifetime Value models for use in all key customer retention and acquisition strategies
  • Developing and maintaining effective operational based customer segmentation models, providing insights into customer interactions and future product development
  • Develop, operationalise and maintain various propensity models, e.g. churn, propensity to take up solar etc.
  • Actively seek innovative use of analytics to improve business outcomes
  • Building relationships with analytic teams across Energy Markets to share knowledge and streamline data processes

Is This You?
You’ll need to have a unique mix of business acumen and analytics, excellent communication skills and focus on data to support business intelligence. You must also hold qualifications in an analytical or numerical discipline.
You have:

  • Experience in Analytic roles with a track record of delivery
  • A demonstrated ability to pull together disparate pieces of information and compile these into a meaningful story that drives change
  • Experience in delivering customer analytics and predictive models using SQL/Python/SAS
  • Strong data analysis skills, developed through tertiary study and/or significant experience in previous roles
  • Experience collaborating, and building strong and credible relationships, with various business units
  • Understanding of Data management, SQL, Database acumen
  • Previous experience with analytics in the Digital space
