8The Role
As a Modelling and Computing Specialist at Airservices you will directly contribute to the modelling and analysis capability of the Operational Analysis (OA) Unit by conducting complex modelling and analysis, developing analytical techniques and metrics, interfacing with key stakeholders and customers, and reporting modelling/analysis results to internal and external audiences

You will independently conduct detailed quantitative analysis of aircraft and airspace metrics, using a range of specialist computing skills and software applications, and will develop novel computing and modelling methodologies.

To be successful in the role of Modelling and Computing Specialist, you will need to apply a high calibre of expertise to absorb, analyse and interpret a wide array of data. It is essential that you demonstrate the ability to rapidly comprehend and interpret novel information to support analysis and conclusions. Overall, this role requires you to leverage broad expertise in the analysis of complex data, and draw from relevant knowledge to support and improve outcomes for Airservices and its customers.

It is ESSENTIAL that you hold a Degree or equivalent experience in aviation, science, engineering, mathematics, statistics or a related discipline to be considered for this role.
This role will require the person to establish, develop and maintain effective working relationships with staff and stakeholders within Airservices, as well as from external providers and regulatory bodies.
