SGS work centres around understanding how cities and regions function and we have established strong capabilities in data creation, manipulation and visualisation. We are looking to expand our Data and Spatial Analytics Area of Service to support this capability.
The successful candidate will be required to extract and manipulate large datasets, operate and develop economic models and create innovative data and spatial visualisation solutions to effectively communicate clear policy insights.
The successful candidate will be curious, proactive, a problem solver, a proud data geek, and have an interest in public policy and spatial visualisation.
This position would be ideally suited to a recent graduate in computer science, mathematics, statistics, economics or econometrics. An honours degree and previous work experience will be highly advantageous.
The role requires a proficiency in Excel (including VBA), SQL, Python or R. Additional programming language is a plus. Experience in GIS and Data Visualisation packages will also be viewed favourably (that is, Q-GIS, ArcGIS, Tableau, CartoDB, AzureML)
