Previous work experience will be highly advantageous. The successful candidate will have strong analytical and modelling skills and demonstrated experience in applying these to real world problem solving.
Requirements of the role include:
A high level of proficiency in MS Excel is a must. Expertise in econometrics packages (such as Eviews and R) and data analysis program languages (i.e. VBA, Python and SQL) will be viewed favourably. You will be familiar with a range of econometric techniques and models, have an understanding of Australian Bureau of Statistics and other datasets, and have well developed report writing skills.
The role requires a balance of quantitative, writing and presentation skills, analytical skills and, importantly, a passion for informing policy in the public interest.
While based in Sydney, you will work with our clients across Australia, New Zealand and, on occasions, elsewhere internationally. This role will provide ample opportunities for professional development and progression.
