The Opportunity
Candidates are sought for the exciting position of Research Fellow in Monash’s School of Mathematical Sciences. The position requires experience in analysis of partial differential equations. Familiarity with any of the following is desirable: numerical analysis, functional analysis, elliptic and parabolic PDEs, flows in porous media, computational mathematics.
In this position, you will conduct research under the guidance of Dr Jerome Droniou. The research is conducted within an Australian Research Council Discovery Project on Discrete Functional Analysis for models of flows in porous media.
To be considered, you will have a PhD in mathematics or a closely related discipline, research experience in partial differential equations (theoretical or numerical aspects), proven ability to perform independent research, and the potential to publish in high quality journals.
This role is a full-time position; however, flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.
